We provide sessional care Monday to Friday 9 : 00am – 3 : 00pm. -these include a variety of sessions from just morning/afternoon to lunch sessions and all day We operate for 38 weeks a year, following the same term dates as Newbottle and Charlton Primary School.

We accept Government funded vouchers and are Ofsted Inspected and follow The Early Years foundation stage. We provide care for children aged 2-4 years and offer a discount for twins attending.

At Charlton Playgroup we have an covered outside play area, offering play during wet or sunny periods.
We provide a wide range of resources to promote all aspects of child development.

All staff members are qualified or working towards a recognised childcare qualification, they are police checked and trained in health and safety, first aid and food hygiene.
We are committed to a working partnership with families to enable all children to learn and develop.

We welcome visitors and enquiries during opening hours.

Easter Money Bunny - Just like to say a big thank you to all that filled in their money bunny we raised £43 and the winner was Libby E. We thought this was a fun way to get the children involved.

Fund Matching - Do any of you work for a company that would be able to donate some funds towards the playgroup or will they match any fundraising we do or could they donate some new equipment? Please do ask your companies as any donation will be greatly appreciated and will help us to raise our target of £4,000.

Notices

Invoices - Last term we had an improved response to paying invoices. There are still a few parents not paying their invoice within the time frames set on your invoice, this causes lots of extra work chasing up payments and means we don’t always have the funds needed in the account. If you find you are having a problem paying your bill on time, please speak to a member of staff.
As you will be aware from previous correspondence there is now a £5.00 late payment charge.
Please keep up the good work.

Snacks- Could we please ask for parents to help by donating items that we can use for snack times.

Sessions - We have a high volume of funded children in September, so please start to think what sessions you would like or If you require any more sessions now please speak to a member of staff as soon as possible as we have limited days available.

Sports Day / Fun Day - This year’s sports day and fun day will be held on 14th June a bit earlier this year to hopefully catch a bit of sunshine. Please make sure you put this in your diary.

Summer Trip - This year’s summer trip will be to Cotswold Farm Park on the 8th July the cost will be £10 per adult and children will be free, this cost will include the coach to and from Payment must be made when booking your place and please make sure

Committee Meetings - Our Next Committee Meeting is on Wednesday 13th May at the memorial hall, if you would like to come along and be more involved in the playgroup or even come and join the committee please contact Georgina on 01295 253300.

Playgroup Disco - 25th April 09 - 7pm till 11pm - Tickets: £5 Adults £3 Children under 5’s Free
If you brought a ticket last time we will be using the same tickets and if you never got a chance or had plans last time and would like a ticket please see the girls at the playgroup. Don’t miss out on a great night and a easy opportunity to help us to raise money.

If your unable to come for the whole evening why not just come along for a drink! Or if a disco just isn’t for you then please please make us a small donation the more we make at our larger fundraisers means we won’t have to hold as many!!!
