Newbottle Parish Council
On Tuesday 13 July 2004 there were
presentations in The Memorial Hall to thank retiring members of
the Parish Council for their service to the well-being of the Parish.
A little over 50 local residents were there to enjoy the evening....
Townsend
opened the
proceedings
by thanking
all those
atttending
and offered
a little
background
to the
event........
Hazel Haskins
who served as
Parish Clerk
for many years
who filled in
with more history
before the
presentations
were made.......
First to recieve a 'Countryside'
momento was Mr Pat Locke
for 21 years of total service,
with 17 years as the Chairman
of the Parish Council
for 36 years of service to the Parish Council,
serving 17 years as the Vice Chairman.
Unfortunately due to ill health, he was unable to
attend, but his Daughter Nichola was there on his
behalf to collect his presentation gift.
Seen here collecting it from Mrs Andrea Gladden,
the current Parish Council Chairman.
Mrs Elizabeth Howell
also was presented a
gift for 14 years of service
on the Parish Council....
18 years of service to the Parish Council

Additionally.....
Mr John Williams was presented with a gift from the
Parish Council for his years of service as Tree Warden.
and Mrs Annette Bull for
18 years of service to the
Parish Council, 15 years as the Parish Council's
Representative on the Old Ecclesiastical Parish of
King's Sutton Charities.
As she was also unable to attend this was
collected on her behalf.
A good evening was enjoyed as the recipients posed for this Archive photograph.
