On 13th April 2004 there were presentations in The Memorial Hall to thank retiring members of the Parish Council for their service to the well-being of the Parish. A little over 50 local residents were there to enjoy the evening . . . . |

| Lady Juliet Townsend opened the proceedings by thanking all those atttending and offered a little background to the event.
Passing over to Hazel Haskins who served as Parish Clerk for many years, who then filled in with more history before the presentations were made. |

First to recieve a 'Countryside' momento was Mr Pat Locke for 21 years of
total service, with 17 years as the Chairman of the Parish Council. |

| A presentation was then made to Mr Ron Cave for 36 years of service to the Parish Council, serving 17 years as the Vice Chairman. Unfortunately due to ill health, he was unable to attend, but his Daughter Nichola was there on his behalf to collect his presentation gift. |
