The Friendship Club was started by Nurse Dawson in the early 1960's and was carried on by Mrs Elizabeth Krone until she left the village, the current leading light is Pat Chambers.

They meet the first Tuesday of the month for a social gathering at each others homes or take visits out to places of interest. They would be pleased to see new faces of any over 60's and everyone is welcome.

UPDATE: OCTOBER 2007

I noticed that one of the activities listed in the Parish Plan was for an over 60's Club - We already have one!
It is called the Friendship Club. We meet every 1st Tuesday of the month at 2 : 30pm

This group has been formed for many years and is open to any one over 60 years of age, male or female.
Should you be interested to join telephone Anne Buckingham on 01295 811320 or contact Elaine Coville.
