YOUTH
Our Commitment to Junior Cricket in Charlton

Our Coaches have completed the ECB Level One Coaching Course at Northamptonshire Cricket Club and are members of the ECB Coaches Association.

The coaching team will be investing time and effort preparing a varied coaching plan for the season focusing on basic skills, challenging training games and exercises.

In order to promote a professional image our coaches will be wearing cricket kits and we would like the players to wear our Charlton Juniors Cricket Team Shirts available to purchase at £7.50. Players may wear plain white polo shirts for training, however, our ‘team’ shirt must be worn if participating in friendly matches.

For the older and more able players we will be introducing ‘Intercricket’ to the weekly sessions. This ECB Recognised form of the game will expose our team members to their first taste of hard ball cricket.

We have recognised that the players thoroughly enjoyed the friendly matches held last year against Hinton and East Haddon. More details to follow.

We are keen to promote and gain stronger ties with the Senior Charlton Cricket Club. Consequently we have extended the age range to Under 15’s in order to provide cricket coaching to age where they can progress to the senior set up.
