On Thursday April 28, the local Newbottle and Chrlton Primary school celebrated the Royal Wedding by having a 'special' day of it's own with all the children dressing up and holding a 'wedding' in St. James' Church Newbottle .
They started with a procession from the school to the church, held the wedding complete with hymns and register signing and then back to the school to hold a wedding reception lunch, toasts, speeches and a dance
.
Many adults also joined in by dressing up!
The top photo shows the children being addressed by Lady Juliet Townsend in the playground just before the "reception" and when she presented our local postman David with some presents on behalf of all local residents for his 42 years of faithfull service.
